Administrative Assistant for the Departments of Psychology and Behavioral Sciences, Communication and Creative Technologies
The University of Evansville is seeking a dedicated and organized Administrative Assistant to provide comprehensive support to the Departments of Psychology and Behavioral Sciences and Communication. This is a full-time, 10-month per year position.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Budget Management: Support through purchasing, approved budget transfers, internal reimbursements, and PCard (university credit card) reconciliation.
- Administrative Support: Handle paperwork including purchase orders, check and petty cash requests, room reservations, interlibrary loans, and payment of invoices.
- Scheduling: Coordinate meetings, appointments, and review sessions.
- Assign students to the appropriate advisors and arrange meetings.
- Provide student data for departments (number of majors, minors, etc.)
- Event Management: Organize special events.
- Recruitment Assistance: Support in recruiting students for the respective departments.
- Office Management: Monitor office supplies, request desk copies of textbooks, and handle maintenance and technology requests.
- Exam Scheduling: Arrange and proctor exams.
- Visitor Assistance: Greet and assist visitors, manage inquiries, and direct them to the appropriate department or faculty.
- Additional Faculty Support: Assist faculty with travel arrangements, meeting minutes, and reservations.
Qualifications:
- Technical Proficiency: Competence in Microsoft Excel and web-based applications.
- Interpersonal Skills: Strong communication and organizational abilities.
- Team Player: Enthusiastic about working with young people and contributing to a dynamic academic environment.
